Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Heartcode Course

This is a hybrid BLS course made up of both an online portion and an in-person portion. Upon registering for this course, you are sent a confirmation email with a link to the online BLS HeartCode® coursework. You must complete the online portion prior to the in-person portion of the class. The class date/time listed is for the in-person skills portion of the class.  

Upon arriving for the in-person portion of this course, students are required to provide the certificate of completion of the online portion of the course. Students may print this prior to class or come prepared with a screenshot to email to the instructor for printing. 

*Please note: If the student arrives to class without proof of completion of the online portion of the course, they will be asked to reschedule, and will not be able to attend the in-person portion of class that day.*

Course Description:

The American Heart Association’s (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be both an effective team member and team leader in either an in-hospital or out-of-hospital setting.This course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate breaths and ventilations, provide early use of an AED and relieve choking. This course covers patients populations of all ages. The course reflects science and education from the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
