Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Heartcode Course

This is a hybrid PALS course made up of both an online portion and an in-person portion. Upon registering for this course, you are sent a confirmation email with a link to the online PALS HeartCode® coursework. You must complete the online portion prior to the in-person portion of the class. The class date/time listed is for the in-person skills portion of the class.  

Upon arriving for the in-person portion of this course, students are required to provide the certificate of completion of the online portion of the course. Students may print this prior to class or come prepared with a screenshot to email to the instructor for printing. 

*Please note: If the student arrives to class without proof of completion of the online portion of the course, they will be asked to reschedule, and will not be able to attend the in-person portion of class that day.*

Course Description: 

This course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare professionals to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, arrhythmias, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high-performance team dynamics and high-quality individual skills. The AHA's PALS course has been updated to reflect science and education from the American Heart Association 2025 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.
