Detailed course descriptions are listed under each course type below. Still unsure? Email us, we're glad to help!
I'm not a Baystate employee, can I still take a course here?
Yup! The majority of our classes are open to the public, but check the course notes when you register to be sure.
Oh no! The course I want is full!
Send us an email and request to be added to the course. Sometimes there are last minute cancellations. We will do our best to get you a spot but please note there is no guarentee.
How long does it take to get my card?
On average, you will get an email to claim your card within 1-3 business days after taking your class. Please note weekend classes may take a little longer. You can also go to this link to try and manually claim your card: https://ecards.heart.org/student/myecards
How can I find my old cards?
Easy! Go to https://ecards.heart.org/student/myecards - then enter your name and email address used at registration. All of your cards associated with your email address will show up here.
Can I take multiple courses in one day?
Definitely! Please see the right-hand side of this page for details, you have a few options!
Do you offer classes for private groups?
Absolutely! We offer private classes for all AHA disciplines. We are happy to teach folks from all walks of life, not just healthcare workers. We will travel to you or we can host you at our education center. Please note we ask for a minimum class size of 3 students. Contact us for details and pricing. We do offer group discounts!
Can I complete any of these courses just online?
No. All AHA courses require some form of in-person component. Please see the detailed course descriptions below or the general course description to the right for more information.
Okay, I registered for my course. What do I do now?
After registration, students should receive an automated confirmation email with scheduled course details and links to any precourse work. It's important to receive your email prior to your course. You will get a separate email for each course you enroll in. If you do not receive your confirmation emails within 24 hours of registration and you've already checked your junk/spam folders, please email the training center to have it re-sent to you.
I'm taking a HeartCode course. Is there precourse work required?
Yes! This is a hybrid course so there is an online component required. The link to your online precourse work is at the top of your confirmation email.
I'm taking a BLS, ACLS or PALS Initial or Renewal Course. Is there any precourse work?
BLS initial and renewal courses do NOT require precourse work. ACLS and PALS initial and renewal courses DO require precourse work. Use this link for the in-person ACLS precourse work: https://elearning.heart.org/course/1551 Use this link for the in-person PALS precourse work: https://elearning.heart.org/course/1538 Please also refer to your confirmation email for exact instructions.

I'm a Baystate clinician, how do I pay for my class?
